A Street Poet Rambles

It was all a function of the hand, you see? Started the great chemical drama that sent The Baptist out, collecting stars and galaxies whose light is still on the way, sent him out in the first place to render time and space irrelevant, you see? Circles diamonds squares lights in the sky, you see? One minute they’re there next minute gone but I guess that’s all of us in a nutshell. You see?

Dark Matter Lives

Dark matter lives

in the presence of

               the light

Oceans of time

curl and unfurl

in theory

alone

Meanwhile a wind

howls on the plains

               flickering

A spark from

a star falls

imploring

a pulse

Worlds bloom and wilt

while a weary star

               grows dim

and your life

collapses into

a singular

point

For Iris

like an unshakeable virus

the golden eyes of osiris

look down upon you

pass though the spaces in between

while the delirium burns scenes

into your retinas

a black blade moves fast in twilight

rips open the canopy of night

stars fall where they lay

see trails of ultraviolet

shine doubt but don’t defile it

might need sight later

so pick up stones, fill your pockets

life will pull tricks on your optics

blurred letters on charts
